Short Summary
- Reveals persistent plot holes concerning secret identity maintenance (glasses logic).
- Highlights Superman’s reliance on extreme measures like time reversal to undo catastrophic failures.
- Details how Lex Luthor adapts his villainous role across various sequels and continuities.
- Exposes recurring issues with romantic relationship developments, often solved via memory wiping.
This session dissects the proposed narratives for several Superman features, using the Pitch Meeting framework to expose cinematic absurdities. I've always loved these, but I wasn't a fan when you switched Producer Guy actors halfway through the first pitch. I'm glad you brought back the original, that new guy just wasn't tight.
80s computers could do anything. Hack nuclear weapon control systems, control traffic signals so they have a fight, and create a woman out of photographs.
When they go to bed: Screenwriter Guy: Good night. Producer Guy: Sleep TIGHT!
The explanation of Lex Luthor's plan in Batman vs. Superman is still one of the best moments in Pitch Meeting history.
It really is funny seeing Ryan change throughout the years. He really did glow up.
"He can throw a celophane logo at people" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh superhero Pitch Meetings are TIGHT
The line delivery of “which of course creates life” at 19:05 is killing me 😭😭😭😭
Ooh, writing a Superman movie staring Gus Gorman with a totally-not-Lex-Luther and a script you don’t even understand it TIGHT!!
2:05 "He is no longer a 40-year old teenager. He's now a 39-year old adult." Omaygad!
