The instructions were a mess. The issue is that the jury likely though the term “verdict” meant you needed a decision on all three combined charges.

As a retired LEO, I can say that this case would never had made it into court in my state. The lack of so called “evidence”, chain of custody and all the Brady violations are astounding and this case would have been thrown out or dismissed with prejudice! How has MA not had these police departments investigated prior to this case. I certainly hope that the FBI get the evidence they need and stop all this illegal nonsense!

If it was any other judge, they would kick that trial out of court! Smame!

Do they ever identify who the "retired Canton PD officer" is and whether they were retired at the time of the incident and subsequent "downloading"? Was this person assigned to this particular case or were they just accessing and downloading things outside their scope for funsies? Does Canton PD just allow whoever to access evidence willy nilly? Part of me asserts this is obvious considering how the solo cups were just sitting around. What even is this circus? In a town of about 25k people, how are none of the residents completely livid that the PD is this incompetent (at best, at worst-corrupt). You'd think they'd be pissed imagining If it was their loved one whose suspicious death was being investigated by clowns.

I want to know why this keeps getting worse. Whose with is therewith and whose there is whereof, and why the with is therefore what, if any. Is it fair that I'm wondering who on earth is being protected here, and how highly placed they may be in terms of status? To be this bad, for everything to be wrong, who on earth are they covering for?
