Whether you like ChatGPT or not, remember: ChatGPI and AI are here to stay. Rather than resisting this reality, you should embrace it and learn how to use these technologies to stay current and competitive.
Okay, if Mosh is recommending we learn ChatGPT, it's probably a good idea.
I don't know how many times over the years I've searched the web, stack overflow, and YouTube for answers on technical code issues I've been stuck on. Now I've found my answer.
I use ChatGPT to troubleshoot my code, the ability to give feedback to a solution that doesn't work helps a lot
For an expert developer, this is a piece of cake. Because this tools is going to help the expert writing code faster, as they already know what the answer is, they just want to be more productive. For someone learning how to code, I'm afraid this will remove the hard process of search, try, fail, repeat until you get on top of things. However, juste because experts today learned a certain way, doesn't mean there aren't any other ways. Let's just hope this tool will enable fast learning rather than blindly depending on its output.
I asked chatgpt a geometry homework question from son's 10th grade math book. It provided the correct answer with explanation. It was awesome. I think it can be a good teacher
The best 28 minutes of my 2023 so far
Hello sir, Just wanted to let you know that YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER EVER.
As a college student majoring in computer science, I've used chatGPT to very much help me clean up my code or whenever i get stuck and frustrated when my programs won't run and it's give an error. I don't feel intimated by AI. It feels like I have a peer or an instructor just simply looking at my code and assisting me on finding the problem. I very much learn from that and makes me a better developer from learning from my mistakes and learning from chatGPT.
While I was preparing for my final exam, I asked several questions about Online algorithms, Linear algebra, Image processing, Transformations using matrices, etc. ChatGPT's answers weren't always the best, but were a very good starting point to understanding these concepts.
