Russia Abandoning Last Remaining Nuclear Arms Treaty?!

Following Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine with his attendant hawklike rhetoric, Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded by announcing that his country will suspend participation in the New START Treaty that limits warhead production and allows for the US and Russia to inspect each other’s nuclear sites. While inspections were already on hiatus from COVID, this move merely exacerbates existing tensions and brings us ever closer to World War III.
