This is so horrifically sad. Poor Jeff. Betrayed by his gf and murdered by his friend. He didn't deserve that

Some best friend. He sleeps with Jeff’s girlfriend, causes Jeff’s death either in the initial confrontation or by drowning, disposes of Jeff’s body and van, drags his brother into disposing body & van, immediately quits his job despite being the second employee gone instantly impeding Jeff’s father & business from fully functioning, lies lies and lies some more for 31 years not having a speck of compassion for Jeff’s family, and then once the truth kind of comes out refuses any and all responsibility to the point of failing to give the family a truthful account or even apologizing. Not a best friend, not a friend at all, and not a person with any human decency! And the girlfriend sucks! Ok, a teen cheated. Bad decision but fine. Her FAILURE to tell the truth about what happened IMPEDED law enforcement from being able to investigate Jeff’s “best friend” at the time AND for decades! And the brother, who was put in a terrible situation, chose to help do an awful thing and then chose to LIE for 31 years with ZERO consideration or compassion for Jeff or his family. Poor Jeff. Betrayed, killed, and forgotten by these people he thought were closest to him outside of his family. It’s just terrible!

I knew as soon as the friend quit his job the next day working with Jeff's father, that he was involved.

Coral Springs' police were negligent. Yes, it'd be difficult to look for a missing teenager, but not impossible

My heart goes out to this family! There was no justice for them! My son was killed by a hit and run driver. There was no justice for him either. The driver got 2 years probation and ordered to send a letter of apology. I never received one.

Why do people do nothing when they know things! Ugh. The former girlfriend should have spoken up earlier. This is just sickening. No justice. At least they changed that outrageous law.
