The Power of Dehumanization and Breaking Societal Programming

Understand how media and societal structures program fear and division, and discover the personal experiences that revealed the shared humanity beneath superficial labels.

Short Summary

  • Belief requires unknowing; certainty eliminates the need for faith, highlighting how surface appearances deceive us.
  • Systemic forces, often via media, intentionally employ "divide and conquer" tactics to dehumanize groups for control.
  • Personal exposure to diverse environments, like performing in Harlem, shattered ingrained childhood fears and programming.
  • True connection happens by breaking past superficial boundaries and sharing vulnerability about struggle and family.

This discussion explores the concept of societal programming, using philosophical concepts and personal anecdotes to show how labels (like race or fame) prevent us from seeing the shared spirit within every person. Breuer details his transformation from racially segregated fear to deep fellowship while working at the Uptown Comedy Club, emphasizing the need to confront media narratives designed to foster hate.

I've been saying for a long time; they have been dividing us into smaller and smaller groups against one another so we don't UNITE against THEM!! 💯 Love your perspective Jim, you're amazing brother ❤️

Black follower here. Thanks for being so raw in your honesty. People can change because no child is born racist. Keep up the good work, Jim.

Jim Breuer, THANK YOU. Thank you for speaking out and having the balls to call out the industry, the politics, the lies, the evil that we are "supposed" to just go along with like it's all normal. It's not normal!! The world needs to hear this kinda stuff and you are so good at it. God bless you man🙏🏻

Once I started praying for people I “despised” they became humans too. I stopped despising them and started seeing them as imperfect people who are probably trying their best. I don’t stress about people being evil or not, that’s not on me. On me is praying for them.

When I was in High School in LA I lived in the Valley near Pacoima Ca. There were a number of black folks that came to our school. I was always a Conversationist ~ even at that young age. I would spend time with them because they were in some of my classes, and we got to start hanging out and sharing stories about our upbringing & the neighborhoods we lived in. I remember it to this day, we would laugh about so many things that we all experienced until we were on the floor rolling around, with massive laughter tears flowing down our faces. The skin colors ~~~ disappeared ~~~ we became super tight, I was always protected by them. We stood by one another. Love is the most powerful tool in the universe…😎😎😎🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤣😂🥴🤪🤣🥴😎

As a 61 year old black man from as long as I can recall I have always seen through the eyes of race. Until 7 years ago when the Holy Spirit filled me with unconditional Love. My eyes no longer seek to see race, because I see through my eyes from Grace~
