When I read the BS headlines in the media yesterday, I could hardly believe it. But that's just a psychological strategy. If you repeatedly accuse someone of even the most absurd things, eventually something will stick. Even intelligent and well informed people have to be careful not to fall into this trap. The majority of the population will fall into this trap.

great point about disgusting decadence always having been present around the mighty and wealthy - we get all dismayed and yet we do know those sleazy stories of the aristocracy. I'm thinking we the public are reacting with so much dismay because we have been fully indoctrinated about how good /godly democracy is, how honorable we the people and by extension our "representatives" in government are.
