Reading the comments, this is probably an unpopular opinion but I don’t fully trust Russell Brand. He sounds deep but it’s a lot of abstract stuff like “systems” and “consciousness” and you end up asking what did he actually say in one sentence. His whole image keeps changing too. Addict to survivor, celebrity to anti-fame, political outsider to anti-system voice, now spiritual or Christian guru. But in every version he’s still the guy who figured it all out. He’s good at making you feel something is true without really proving it, you leave with a vibe more than actual evidence. And when he gets criticism it just turns into “see the system is attacking the truth” so nothing really challenges him, it just feeds into the narrative. Also he’s a performer, the way he talks, cadence, humor, rhythm, does a lot of the work. If you strip that away and say it plainly do you still believe him? Addicts are very good at manipulating. Overall it’s the constant reinvention, he basically writes a book every time he wants to reinvent himself, high persuasion but not much grounding, and every version of him kind of centers himself. Every book feels like a new identity shift. This new one doesn’t really feel like how to become Christian in seven days, it feels more like showing that he’s the kind of person who can. Not saying he’s a bad guy, I’ve watched his stuff and he can be interesting, but after a while you start noticing patterns. Not everything the sparkles is gold. Thank you for reading my little rant.
Russel is so articulate, self-reflective, and sincere in this interview. I very much appreciate this.
Thank you, Megyn, for letting Russell speak. 👏
I love this man. I love him even more because he is so openly vulnerable, and humble. This was a gift to watch ❤✝️

This, THIS is one of the best MKelly episodes ever! And she's had many great guests & topics. ❤
Sanctification is a lifelong process, and some of us have many miles to go. But someone said, "The only impossible journey is the one you never begin." I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Stay on the path, Russell.
MK, thank you for bringing this brilliant man forward. He's certainly well spoken, self reflective, and I do appreciate his analysis of "what outcome do we want", then creating an agenda to get it. I pray for him.
Truly watched and fully enjoyed Russell for decades...but have lived him for the last two years as a new human being!
