Colin Cowherd's Week 8 NFL Power Rankings Hierarchy

Discover how Colin Cowherd ranks the top 10 contenders after Week 8, analyzing rising physical threats like the Colts and the stagnation of high-expectation rookies.

Short Summary

  • The Chiefs remain firmly at #1 due to superior talent depth and big-game experience, narrowly edging out the Eagles.
  • Young teams like the Colts (#3) and Packers (#4) show dominant physical traits or confirmed star talent (Jordan Love).
  • Cowherd critiques the stagnation of the Bears (Caleb Williams) and the organizational failure of the Steelers regarding offensive focus.

This hierarchy reveals which teams are truly Super Bowl caliber versus those posting statistically weaker records like Tampa Bay ("fool's gold"). We examine the statistical arguments behind placing surprising teams like New England high while scrutinizing operational philosophies in Chicago and Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have legitimately felt like the exact same team for the past like decade. They will win some games lose some game. Go around 9-8/10-7. Make the wildcard round, and get blown out. It’s felt that way the past decade

Colin can't criticize Baker while he's playing well so he's moved onto Caleb Williams hahaha

Hot take here but I feel like Caleb Williams looks like what Jordan Love would have looked if Jordan Love had to start day 1. Maybe I’m off my rocker

I kinda like how Colin did a 180 about Baker. From "this guy will always fail" to "Baker is the best quarterback in the league". I respect that someone is willing to reassess their prior stances.
