Short Summary
- Investigators initially dismissed the disappearance as a runaway bride scenario due to the impending wedding.
- Key evidence, including Annie’s left-behind personal belongings and excessive keycard activity, swiftly shifted focus to internal foul play.
- The killer, lab technician Raymond Clark III, attempted to conceal crucial evidence, including blood-stained clothing and the victim’s body hidden inside a utility wall shaft.

I live in CT, this case was so shocking. Also, her killer played recreational baseball with my ex husband. The same day he murdered her he went to play a baseball game. Everyone on the team thought he was acting completely normal. What a psychopath!
This case made me cry. That poor, brilliant woman and her family. My heart goes out to them.
We lost a top-tier person to the brutality of a bottom-tier person. The rage I feel is worrisome.
I worked at Yale University in a different lab and have been waiting to see who will cover this case. Security and campus police are very good at Yale. If you walk in behind someone without swiping a card they will track you down on cameras and then show up to ensure you have access.
Who the hell makes up these laws that allow murderers and rapists to serve even lighter sentences???
You can’t even feel safe in a workplace. 🤦🏾♀️😢
Criminals like Raymond have way too many rights. My heart breaks for Annie, her family, her friends and her fiancé. Absolutely heartbreaking.
The fact that he sexually assaulted her says it all when it comes to the motive. If it weren't for that I would have asked myself also what the motive was for doing what he did. Unless it was after she died that he did this. If it would have been that he got extremely angry about something to do with the job, I don't think he would have s a 'd her. He would have just panicked and hid her. He probably planned assaulting her but didn't think she would fight back this much, or maybe even told himself she wanted him, and when she fought back it insulted him and made him feel rejected.
As a Vietnamese American..this case was all over the Vietnamese news. She had so much potential and such a smart person, it truly is a shame that this happened.
