Description

Ashleigh, Brandon, & Alli react to Braveheart (1995), the epic historical war drama that follows Scottish warrior William Wallace as he leads a rebellion against English rule after personal tragedy pushes him into battle. Blending massive medieval warfare, political betrayal, emotional sacrifice, and inspirational speeches, the film builds into a sweeping story about freedom, resistance, and legacy. This reaction stands out for its emotional intensity, brutal battle sequences, and iconic cinematic moments, as Ashleigh, Brandon, & Alli experience the film’s heartbreak, victories, and large-scale spectacle in real time. Directed by Mel Gibson (The Passion of the Christ, Hacksaw Ridge, Apocalypto, Signs, Mad Max), the film stars Mel Gibson (Lethal Weapon, Mad Max, Signs, The Patriot, Ransom), Sophie Marceau (The World Is Not Enough, Anna Karenina, Braveheart, Lost & Found, French cinema classics), Patrick McGoohan (The Prisoner, Treasure Planet, Scanners, Columbo, Ice Station Zebra), Catherine McCormack (28 Weeks Later, Dangerous Beauty, Spy Game, Shadow of the Vampire, Slow Burn), and Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, The Banshees of Inisherin, Edge of Tomorrow, In Bruges, Gangs of New York), bringing together a cast tied to major historical epics, action classics, and acclaimed dramatic performances that continue to drive strong reaction and crossover audience appeal. ___________________________________________________ We've got merch! It's outrageous that James Horner didn't win the Oscar for Best Original Score for this film. Proof of that is that this music will live forever in the memory of viewers. However, nobody remembers who won the award that year.

The look of betrayal in Wallace’s eyes when he realizes Robert the Bruce has turned against him is some of the finest acting I’ve ever seen. Mel Gibson conveys heartbreak, disbelief, and devastation without saying a single word.

I snuck into this movie with my older brother when I was 7. We were supposed to be seeing the power rangers. That little act of rebellion changed my life. Down to my degree in history and wifes resemblance to sophie marceau 😂. Its inaccurate but still so powerful. I love it.

Holy Guacamole, I am early for once. Think about Mel Gibson whatever you like, but the man never fails to connect emotionaly through his performances. When he comes home, and smells the air, the only place that has this specific combination of soil, grass and trees. Without saying a word, I know exactly how he is feeling. What a Movie.

One of my absolute favorite songs from this film is "For the love of a princess." I still listen to it time and again❤️

Patrick McGoohan was fantastic as the despicable King. Good to have his distinguished presence as part of this movie. He took it up several levels.
