This movie isn't as good as the original, but it's not the flop people say it is either. It's still very entertaining. I love Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi and her "not a" villain song, "Not Evil." I like all the different brands of legos and lego imitators used, and the message about being not having to change with the times and being who you are.
No one ever reacts to the second Lego Movie, it was underappreciated and under-seen, I enjoy it very much!
I don't know if you figured it out later, but the numbers that appear when they build stuff is in fact the numbers for those lego pieces. So if you are looking for any of those pieces you can just look up the number, to find the piece.

It was a tough task to do a sequel to the first Lego movie and Lego Batman, knowing that it's in the imagination of the kid from the first movie makes it very weird if they just ignored that, so I applaud them for finding a way to still tell a cohesive story about brother-sister dynamics. It's not as good as the first two movies but it's still very enjoyable.
I like this one more than the first one. It's not as funny, but it has way more heart and characterization. I don't get at all how it's confusing that once they revealed the nature of the world that they didn't go back into pretending the realworld characters didn't exist.
I love how throughout the movie the lego characters fight and argue the way the kids would. Metalbeard: "Fire the lazer canon!" Shoots Duplo: "I eat lazers" Metalbeard: "That's impossible!" Batman throws boomerang and it hits duplo Duplo: "You missed me" Batman: "No I did not" General Sweet Mayhem: "You attacked us!" Wyldstyle: "No, you started it!" GeneralSweetMayhem: "No, *you* stared it!" General Sweet Mayhem: "Well I asked you first" Wyldstyle: "Well, I asked you second" General Sweet Mayhem: "Real mature" When shooting Wyldstyle with her sticker gun General Sweet Mayhem: "Well I expected your expecting our expecting. 😂😂😂
