Epstein tapes are locked away: Virginia Giuffre's co-writer | Banfield
Co-writer Discusses Tapes, Trump, and Survivor Focus in Virginia Giuffre Memoir Context
Co-writer Amy Wallace explains why key names remain excluded from Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, confirming that interview tapes exist but are secured, while detailing Giuffre's perspective on Donald Trump's role.
Short Summary
- The memoir’s primary goal focused on detailing the comprehensive survivor experience, not publishing a complete list of abusers.
- Recorded interview tapes containing specific names exist, but Wallace states they are secured, directing calls for release to the DOJ.
- Virginia Giuffre maintained that Donald Trump was not implicated in any abuse she witnessed during her established time in the Epstein orbit.
- Extensive vetting and fact-checking were critical due to the documented, extreme danger Giuffre faced, including verified death threats.
This conversation clarifies the complex editorial choices behind the memoir, emphasizing survivor advocacy over name-dropping, while addressing public demands for complete transparency regarding sealed Epstein case files.

Dreadful interview. Amy wasn’t there to answer for the US government’s neglect of duty. Constant interruptions. Repeating the same questions. 🥱 Loved Amy making the point about the purpose of the book. RIP Virginia.
Not impressed with Ashleigh tonight—quite aggressive and made me like the ghostwriter, Amy, even more! It’s not Amy’s job to name names—the government has all the Epstein files and it’s up to them to release and pursue the perpetrators of this disgusting business!
This was a brutal and hard to watch interview.
What an awful unprofessional host!
What a horrible interview… embarrassing for the conduct of this interviewer .. WTH??
The ghost writer would be the target if the names were released in the book or after it
The co author has brilliantly handled this whole issue. It is the Governemnt who need to be put under the microscope as she is.
She is literally putting a target on this woman’s back!
Too many rich, powerful and influential people have a lot to lose if these files ever see the light of day. The only way the public will ever know is if the files are leaked.
Love how this ghost writer pushed back on being interrogated.
