RIP, Rutger Hauer, Michael Clarke Duncan, Powers Boothe, Brittany Murphy, and now Michael Madsen.
The best review of this movie was from Rodger Ebert... "You could take any single frame of this film and hang it in a museum"
This might be one of the coolest pieces of art in cinema form that exists
The opening sequence with Josh Hartnett is what Robert Rodriguez used to pitch the movie to Frank Miller to get the rights. He basically said "I want to show you something--If you don't like it, I'll never bring it up again, but if you do, let's talk."
There is nobody that I could think of that could pull off marv, other than Mickey Rourke, he was born for that character
Fun fact Robert Rodriguez shot the entire film on a green screen stage and inspired Zack Snyder to do the same on 300. What a masterpiece.
"Thats one damn fine coat you're wearin" has been my go to motive for just about everything i do in Fallout
".. and take away his weapon... Both of them." Classic.
According to Frank Miller, Miho and Kevin are supernatural demons with Miho being a good demon and Kevin being an evil demon
This type of movie will never age. Ever. It looks just as good today as in 2005. Masterpiece.
