Oh my god. A video that’s not about AI. Thank you
Even for a simple html page, vite is a good place to start since it handles ts, css, asset imports automatically. It is such a pleasant to work with vite.
Vite have always won in my heart.
38:01 Important note: despite the name, Rolldown is „not just a rustified Rollup“. It takes the best of the predecessors, so Rollup's API, behavior from esbuild and Rollup and also features inspired by webpack (such as advanced chunk control). In addition, there will be features in Rolldown that are out of scope for Rollup and esbuild (eg HMR integration and a full bundle mode)
Bower, Gulp, Grunt… the rough old days before Node and npm.
cult repo is uploading a documentary for vite on OCT 9 , which i think is featuring theo too
I recently update a app with node 16, vite 2.x and vue 3.0.5 to node 22, vite 7.x and vue 3.5.x, and everything just worked. The build was done without errors, and the deployment goes pretty well. Vite is just the GOAT.
You need a dedicated fulltime webpack engineer to be able to handle webpack config 😅
Vite is cool, it’s like a casual hookup that can become your forever.. or not.
Incridible how basically two persons build the architecture we use today to build our apps (at least in the bundler side of things): Evan You and Rich Harris. They are awesome!!!
