I ADORE Katie! She doesn’t take any crap and is ALWAYS the smartest person in the room. That interviewer is no “journalist”. And mainstream local media is always the bottom of the barrel.

This reporter is having a bad day and is taking it out on the person she's interviewing. Very unprofessional no matter what someone's opinion is or their views are.

Katie Porter spent energy helping my horrible excuse for a human ex, get his disability and other benefits. Despite his complete disdain for women and especially fat women. In spite of the fact he's never voted in his too long life. Katie Porter truly represents EVERYBODY in her district. I wish all politicians were as respectfully responsible to WE THE PEOPLE.

Two things can be true: She needs to treat her staff better AND we never hear about men behaving this way (even though they do) until they have a massive SA or corruption scandal that actually brings all their behaviour to light. Thank you for calling out this double standard! And good for her for taking control in the interview. The interviewer wasn’t asking questions to better understand, she smelled “blood” and thought she’d pinned her and this was going to be a huge moment. A better journalist would have accepted the first or second answer instead of prodding and prodding.
