Get started with DataCamp and their Finance with Python track today! https://datacamp.pxf.io/RGZMVb In this video, I'll show you how to build a personal finance automation tool in Python. We'll use modules like Pandas, Plotly, & Streamlit. Let me give a quick demo because this is pretty cool. I don't know about you guys, but personally, I hate how the bank represents or shows different transactions. I want to know: what did I spend the month before? 📬 Join my Newsletter: https://techwithtim.net/newsletter 🎞 Video Resources 🎞 Code in This Video (Sample Data): https://github.com/techwithtim/AutomateFinancesWithPython Streamlit Course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8p7uQCGD0U ⏳ Timestamps ⏳ 00:00:00 | Project Demo 00:03:14 | Project Setup & Dummy Data 00:06:05 | Python Setup 00:07:37 | Streamlit Setup 00:10:04 | File Uploading & Loading w/ Pandas 00:24:09 | Categorizing Transactions 00:42:49 | Editable Dataframe 00:52:47 | Plots/Charts Hashtags #Python #Finance #Streamlit

I worked for 3 months with the commissioning team in the finance department on an app to automate global synthesis calculations using tools like this. Seeing your video feels like you're showing exactly what I was working on—it's impressive, like you read my mind!

I recently wrote a budget and financial advisory category assisstant that is a vector database on my 2024 transactions with labelled categories. when new monthly transactions are scraped, I use the vector database to identify the catagories with new descriptions using vector search, RAG and GEN AI evaluation for explaining rationale. it is a nice litte way to automate the identification of spending categories and even identify tax deductions. having good categories is a great way to automate the tracking of spending.!!!! great video!!!!
