MAYDAY! America’s Food System Is Collapsing
Exposing Failures in US Food Policy: From Export Subsidies to Farm Collapse
Discover why the US agricultural system is collapsing family farms, resulting in massive food imports, and learn the specific policy shifts needed to secure national food security and consumer health.
Short Summary
- Farmers are disappearing at a rate of 60 per day while corporate agribusiness benefits from export-focused subsidies.
- The current system prioritizes subsidized commodity grains for feed and export over growing healthy domestic food, endangering national security.
- Trade wars and concentrated markets create massive uncertainty, requiring bailouts that disproportionately benefit large corporations, creating a cycle of dependency.
- The conversation details why generalized trade war tactics will fail to restore farming viability and outlines the necessity of shifting investment toward local, healthy food production. Joe Maxwell, former Missouri Lieutenant Governor, breaks down the economic incentives driving farmers away from feed crops and toward national food resilience.

You don;t need to invade America to destroy it, you just need to pay lobbyist and corporations.
I couldn’t believe it when I learned that farmers can’t replant the seeds from their own crops. They are forced to buy new ones every year from gigantic corporations.
All by design... rule by food and water....
110 years ago 83% of Americans grew their own food…..now it is 3%
Factory Farms has destroyed agriculture all across North America, maximized profits and heavily subsidies.
It is NOT, a failed system. It is operating exactly as designed.
It’s almost as if everything the government touches turns to disaster and money laundering.
I see many people blaming the government. We have no government. The government is controlled by corporations.
Once family farmers sell up and big corporations move in you have lost control over food security.
We have to get back to family farms and get corporate out.
