No peace deal signed at Versailles has ever led to a second war in the following 20 years or so
There is no peace with them unless the entire regime is upended.
I have taught the history of the Middle East for nearly 30 years I give Trump credit for dealing with Iran while others have not. Given that, this deal is a mess. The IRGC is still intact and they will continue to foster terror by helping Hezbollah and other groups. I have full lectures on all of this history which I put on YT as a free resource. David and History for the Ages. Also, I have said this before. If any a terrorist group in Mexico was firing 1000s of rockets into the U.S. We would be doing much more than what Israel is doing.
A memorandum of understanding is not a “deal”. It is a statement of very broad terms that parties agree on BEFORE there is a meeting of the minds on particular important issues. Memorandums of Understanding are a LOT easier to enter into (because they aren’t binding) than detailed binding deals (contracts or treaties) are. It is essentially an agreement to bargain in good faith towards broadly stated common goals. A “deal” is an Agreement to do certain specific things. We don’t have that.
Seems symbolic to sign at Versailles, and not in a good way.

Any agreement with Iran ain't worth the toilet paper its written on. As soon as the mood hits them they'll scream Allahu akbar and do whatever the hell they want as always. This stinks as nothing but a payoff... Best keep a really big stick handy.
Am I living in Bizzaro World? How is this a win in any shape or form?! Remember this started as a conquest to force regime change and help free the poor people of Iran! So they bombed the Ayatollah and let them replace him. Then it became about striking their Navy and blockading and control of the Strait of Hormuz which was a mess. Then it turned into Trump demanding a deal and a ceasefire on hostilities we started. The side demanding a ceasefire is the side that’s losing.
