I genuinely think rap falling out of the charts is from black fatigue spreading across America, people moved on from that culture now

Its also culture fatigue, we are sick of it

I have a 13 year old and all the kids are listening to old school rock. They despise the Taylor Swift pop singers and rap.

She was artificially inflated

One of the GTA radios said it best: "we play it till you like it"

We're seeing artists who could sell 1m+ albums can't even sell 5000 now. Those 1m buyers didn't disappear. They were never real to begin with.

"Lizzo is cooked" 1. That must've been one huge oven. 2. At least they wouldn't have to grease the frying pan. 3. That's a meal that could feed an entire village. 4. "Grass fed", but definitely not "lean". 5. Be sure to cook thoroughly. You don't want trichinosis.

If Lizzo was cooked, we could end hunger world-wide.

Don't underestimate the fact that modern Rap/Hip Hop is garbage.

I think a big part of it is that YouTubers have been reacting to ACTUAL music now for a number of years and those videos are very popular. The younger generations are discovering the music of the 1960's, 70's, and 80's and THEY LOVE IT. Being ACTUAL music, it grabs you by your soul and you NEED to listen to it because the creativity and artistry is so GOOD. Actually good. These younger people say "I didn't know there was music like this" and that's what ends up being the music they listen to now.
