The story with the drunk drug dealer dad leaving his 8 year old child alone on Christmas and then offering the kid as payment for his debt is one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard. My heart breaks for the OP, I hope he or she is doing well these days.
49:32 the poor wee lassie who was stabbed, in Liverpool, was Ava White. She was 11/12 years old at the time, and her killer was 14. This happened 25 November 2021. Ava was murdered on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Her killer was sentenced to life, with a minimum of 13 years before being eligible for parole/release. Here in the UK, a life sentence varies from 15+ years for those aged 18 and over. For minors, it can vary depending on the situation. The lad will be approaching 18 now, which means he'll be moved from a youth detention centre to adult prison. The killer tried to cover up his actions, lied, and even told his mum "he wasn't going to the cells"(sic) whenever messaged him that the police were looking for him. He's a danger to the public, and I hope he remains imprisoned.
Should never tell your dog to "knock it off". Tell them "good guard" because they can hear & sense things we can't. Encourage them, always take them seriously and go investigate. Especially when your dog doesn't usually do that. This teaches them to not bark at everything and let's them know you'll listen when they warn.
I'm from Fresno and worked as a massage therapist with Amber during the Scott Peterson Trial. To this day, it's still one of the biggest cases for the Central Valley.
