Now Elon has threatened to sue them for billions! We have the latest on the story. When it comes to suicide in the US, middle-aged White Men are by FAR the most impacted group. Why? I am Swedish. The reason he didn't defend himself was definitely due to doubt of consequence. If he kicked him down from the ladder he risked 20 years in prison. (the court would argue that he didn't know that the clown was actually there to hurt them and thus it being unreasonable and not self defence) If he attacked the assailant with any form of weapon the court would have ruled it an unreasonable amount of violence to stop the threat and given him 8-10 years and if he used his fists he might have gotten two-three years for battery. The attacker was a minority and migrant and therefore an automatic victim. You can't defend yourself against someone like that (ANY form of minority) in Sweden without being prepared to do time. The court would also have ruled that the victims could have fled the apartment thru the door and called the police, (and run around in circles while waiting for his turn in the phone-que). In the end the would be murderer/rapist got two years in a prison (hotel) for aggrivated battery (and three other crimes related to it) and thereafter gently nudged out of the country with an invitation to return in ten years. Yes, he was not banned from Sweden for life. Only for ten years. Not that it matters. He will be back in a couple of months with a new identity. But i'm not bitter :)

thanks for tackling that serious subject with a sense of humor. as a middle-aged white guy who survived suicide i thank God for every day since. But a big part of what keeps me going is my sense of humor and love of comedy. Thanks for the laughs!

I'm glad to hear Steven talk about the suicide stuff and point out how much of an issue it really is. I've gone through really rough patches in my life, and still am, and if I did not have the circle of friends that I have I would absolutely not be here today. I have felt like so much of a failure in life that I have held a gun to my head. Only reasons I didn't pull the trigger is the thought of how unfair it would've been to my family and friends to find me in the morning.

wow this episode hit me hard. i am the poster child of this issue. i cant count how many times iv looked over my balcony or held my fire arm wondering if i would feel any pain. it hurts soo much I'm in tears because nobody cares about us. i lost everything the last couple years. money , loved ones, friends. and it seems this world couldn't care less because of the color of my skin or because im a guy. sometimes it feels like I'm the only one going thru this but because of you Steven i have hope. i didn't realize this was an epidemic and that im not alone. I HAD NO IDEA. i have been watching you for years but i NEVER comment... but today. today is different. please continue what your doing because honestly.. you might have saved my life today Steven

The suicide topic needs to be talked about. We recently had a coworker (white, middle-age, man, comedian on the side) commit suicide. He was always smiling, kind, and friendly. He was succeeding in his profession. Everyone who knew him liked him and no one can figure out why. I still get teary thinking about it. He had a wife and children he left behind.
