The story written by the “minor public figure in a few fields” who lives with his parents sounds like something written by an author, and by that I mean embellished. I think he’s lying to himself about what the relationship was. He was never attracted to her. He found her to be obnoxious and unappealing from the get go. But he agreed to date her for six months and let her move into his home.
