Everyone is going gaga over Spain's unified soccer culture and no one talks about how Argentinian players are developed. The fact that they are playing so in sync belies the story of individual develop based on spectacular individual dominance. Every player knows that to make it big they have to get to a big team in Europe. And to get noticed by those teams they have to individually stand out above everyone they are playing against. All of that technical brilliance and individual capability is hidden by their team tactics until the gloves come off and they are in do-or-die mode. It is remarkable that Spain can unify training and make sure each player has great ball control and the same mindset. But it is equally remarkable that you can take a group of players who were trained their whole life to stand out individually and put those skills at the service of the collective.

Definitely gonna miss world cup coverage. I think Dax has been awesome
