Description

Support our work: https://democracynow.org/donate/sm-desc-yt Federal prosecutors in Minnesota have announced criminal charges against 15 people in connection with anti-ICE protests in the Twin Cities. The defendants are accused of "conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers" and of allegedly "violently" impeding immigration enforcement in Minneapolis during Trump's so-called Operation Metro Surge, during which thousands of federal immigration agents were deployed and fatally shot two U.S. citizens. The indictment focuses on Direct Action Minnesota, or DAMN, a broad activist coalition that prosecutors have linked to anti-fascist, or "antifa," groups. Last fall, President Trump categorized antifa as a "domestic terror organization" even though it is not an actual group. There should be protests outside of the federal courthouse every single day until the charges are dropped and the prosecutor is disbarred!!!

I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees. It’s our constitutional right to protest. That doesn’t make us “terrorists”, it makes us patriotic.

So....all the regime needs to do is call a group, they do not like, a terrorist group.....and then accuse other groups of being affiliated with that group?🤔

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out, Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out, Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.” ― Martin Niemöller Stand up early...speak up early. Authoritarianism is here… they are charging protestors with federal crimes. For what? For standing up for what is right, as is our constitutional right and I believe, our obligation as Americans!

Any judicial action performed by this "DOJ" should be null and voided for treason and oppression. I think that is much more important than charging normal Americans for protesting.
