That's funny. Been using Windows all my life. I just got a MacBook Neo to try it out. Surprisingly, it performs better than my ASUS with double the RAM & latest Intel Core Ultra 7 256V. Sold my ASUS 5 days later and fully switched 😅 Even the Neo is surprisingly capable and super fun (and is able to perform 100% of my DA work), let alone an Air or Pro.
Hopefully one day you make a video on how to use PowerBi in Azure.
5:52 you might want to check your OS version. You can already do that natively in Tahoe. (I believe it was introduced in macOS Sequoia)
please do a video on how to use power bi and full excel on Mac

I've owned 3 Macbooks over the years: a 2017 Intel Air, a 2020 M1 Air, and now a 2023 M3 Pro. The Intel was okay, but I absolutely LOVE the M series Macs. Without writing a whole essay, they're simply pleasant to use. It bothers me so much when I take my work laptop (a Dell unfortunately, I didn't get a choice) out of my backpack and it's hot to the touch, fans running full speed even though I put it to sleep 2 hours ago! Not to mention it dies super quickly even on battery saver mode with screen brightness at 20%.
I am, or was scared to switch to Mac. Among other things you mentioned, I am a Power BI power user. But you just touched on every single reason I had to not use a Mac. Thank you. I look forward to your workflow comparison.
As a long time Mac user I’m excited to see this. Hope you do some content about it!
I really would love the switching to Mac as an Analyst. It's something i'm heavily considering because i'm tired of Windows (other than for gaming) and I want to see how feasible it is to switch.
Having using Macs since the late 80s as a kid, I have always found windows PC for all my work life just painful. Because I've used Excel and Power BI in and outside of work I had a personal PC but after that started running slow, I went for the top end MacBook Pro M2 Max running Parallels, it's still running as if new even after over 2 years. Normally at the 2 year point I really start to notice a pc laptop being not as responsive.
