Can I be honest???? I MISS hearing & watching children playing outside.
The part of documentary that got me was when the police officer asked her son, “ Are you hurt?” && he replied “No, but my heart is broken” 😭 instant tears. I was trying not to cry the whole time but that got me. I pray her kids heal and don’t blame themselves
I've lived in my townhouse community for 20+ years. I'm in my 60's. Many young families with children moved in over the years. Mix of races. There's 1 small play ground near the back. Small kids played there. But there's a big grassy area right across from me. Kids around 8+ play tag, football, soccer etc. Sometimes they get loud, but that's kids. I believe you get what you give. I didn't yell, complain, or be stand offish. I smiled and said hello as I came and went. I bought juice boxes or popsicles once a week to hand out. In winter I'd give cookies or hot cocoa. None of this is expensive. Now the kids come over to take out my trash or ask if I need anything. They are careful not to kick a ball toward me or my windows. Sometimes I overhear a swear word. If they see me, one of them will say, watch your language by Ms Debbie. The parents know me by name and wave. If you want to be included or respected, try participating and treating them with respect 1st.🤷♀️
Even if the children were close to being obnoxious, there is no reason to shoot a gun through a door at someone.
why didnt she move to a retirement community if she hated children, but isnt there a law that if you keep calling 911 over the same non sense, a crime? they should have arrested her
I’m 62 and live not far from a primary school, I always get a smile on my face when I hear the children laughing and squealing at recess and lunch, it’s a shame I can’t actually see them having fun, there is nothing sweeter than the sound of happy children. I hope all the trolls out there take my comment for what it is and don’t make me out to be some kind of creep. I’m a mother of three and grandmother of 4
May AJs children understand they had no control over this horrible neighbor. Having kids running, laughing, and being kids is the most beautiful sound to hear ❤
I am a gun owner, and this woman was irresponsible as all get out!! If someone is OUTSIDE my door, I'm not shooting- they come in trying to hurt me, then yes, but a gun is a last resort protection. I wish more people used their heads and discernment when “protecting” themselves. Susan had murder in her heart, plain and simple.
The part in the documentary that got me was when the kids are telling the police she’s accusing them of stealing her truck, the one girl goes “ we are 11?!” One girl is brushing her barbie dolls hair, the other is eating a lollipop and a third is doing her moves dancing and handstands and that. Come off if
There's also a quick subtle scene in the doc where the cop knocks on Susan's door without announcing himself, and she lets out a nasty scream of "hold on" that sounds unhinged. Once he announced himself as an officer her tone changed completely. I think that moment before she knew who was at the door was exactly who she really is, and how she spoke to those children and neighbors regularly.
