If companies listed all the chemicals in diapers, pads, and tampons, people would start suing left and right.
This was very interesting and fun to hear about. I work for a direct competitor of Procter & Gamble so hearing about the history/evolution is cool. As far as the ingredients, there is no requirement for diapers but NY just passed a law that requires an ingredient list, which goes into effect in December 😊
My mom used cloth diapers for me in the late 80’s early 90’s…..the unused ones make great rags 😂
I wish people still used cloth diapers. It is unbelievable how many people leave soiled diapers in shopping carts, in parking lots, etc...
Great subject! When I had my daughter in 1986 I used cloth diapers. In fact, I used disposable diapers only when we went out for the day. Short outings - used cloth. I loved them! I loved the little rubber pants. They're so cute - kinda poofy.☺️
it's kind of wild how the algo started strangling Bailey as soon as she started speaking truth to power
Mum used cloth with the adorable pins. She was there straight out of the gate in mid 1970s. It’s the right thing to do but for sure more work. But also keeps us in touch with realities of being a messy human.
Is anyone else confused because they remember actual cloth diapers with diaper pins and the little plastic underwear type thing that went over it? And how it wasn't random cloth and clothes pins and how that fabric for cloth diapers was awesome and probably the best cloth for cleaning? I feel like disregarding actual cloth diapers from before the current modern ones with the snaps and the inserts makes me think everything else isn't the full story and truth
I used cloth diapers too. Now I use them for drying my car and anything I don't want scratched up
People also still use flats (pieces of cotton that you fold) as diapers. They're actually a lot easier to clean than other types of modern cloth diapers since the layers aren't sewn together.
