I understand why they arent used to this, 20 years ago summers were cold and rainy! I really feel bad for everyone. You can, freeze water bottles, have a fan with ice bucket, freeze bedsheets and sleep on the floor. The floor is cooler. Also eat salty things and drink sports drinks. Skip iced coffees and alcohol.

Here in Nantes, we just had a thunderstorm. Blessed relief. Even had pea sized hailstones. The temperature has fallen all the way down to 38 Deg C 😂 and it's back to being hot and sunny. If you think humans are having a hard time, think about what this is doing to nature. Especially the fur covered animals. They're struggling.

I work as a gardener, yesterday I was watering young plantings with a garden hose as a blackbird landed in the garden and hopped into the spray. Never seen them acting this careless about human presence.

I was hiking in the Dolomites last week when it was 30degrees, I blacked out and my heart stopped for 19 secs! Keep hydrated, heat and dehydration can be dangerous!

Paris has been a nightmare the past few weeks. Paris is a Northern European city - it is not designed for prolonged 40 degree heat.
