I’m so excited for your renewed interest in the Bible. I’ve been living in it since 2008 and God has transformed my life completely. Solid advice here. This is almost exactly what I would say for most beginners. 💯

I called myself a Christian all my life, a failed business at 41 finally made me seriously started reading the Bible. It transformed me and everything I thought about Christianity. I started in the NT first and it was right before Covid so things were already getting strange. I’ve almost went through it 3 times since March of 2020. It’s the first thing I do every morning to “get my mission.” Side note, the western Church does overly soften our faith, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go, in fact be an anchored individual and help change something that might not be right. The Bible also led me into being an avid reader of heavy heavy non fiction material, which is also what I feel led to do.
