Just an observation from an older woman about the 'problematic' aspect of the story - Yes, Snow White did clean the cottage (with the help of the cute animals), and yes she did cook for the dwarves, but it was transactional. They knew she was fleeing from something and they gave her sanctuary, and in exchange she became the housekeeper. It was not selfish or exploitative. Some modern sensibilities need to calm down and look at the context of the story. After all in the 18th century, a young woman would not be safe wandering around the woods on her own! What I dislike about the modern take on everything is that it sucks the romance and magic out of everything. What is wrong in a little bit of faith in 'True Love's Kiss'.
