I lost 7 friends to Covid. My son is an advanced care paramedic in Toronto. Two of his co workers died. ANYONE saying "did anyone die" is a ghoul. People over 65 are still dying from Covid and the hospitals are still the vectors for that and the healthcare workers won't mask up. BTW I got Covid while wearing a floppy blue mask and the person who gave it to me wasn't wearing one at all. So N95 are still going to be important.

I just went to a doctor's appt. and the sign in the lobby said "Please wear a mask. We are in the middle of a measles epidemic."

ICU RN here with decades of experience, never in all those years I've taken so many young people in a body bags to the morgue😢 I will never allow myself to be worked to the ground like during COVID ...and most ICU RNs would tell you the same. God help us with this administration.

A doctor who looks at the big picture. Being a retired healthcare worker I believe that teamwork is so important to the worker and the patient, to get the outcome that we want with compassionate, educated,individual, respectful and professional care.

Dr Gawande is such an intelligent yet humble person, and always worth hearing from. His books are all worth reading.
