Suggesting we must forget those wrongs perpetuated by our country in order to be proud of it is nonsense. I am proud of the ways in which my country has progressed, and duly ashamed of the ways in which it has not. Blind pride is foolishness.
The idea promoted by Vance that “legacy Americans” should get extra special rights alone is forever disqualifying. That idea is antithetical to American democracy.
I ❤️ seeing people from the left on the Bulwark ,especially black people. Eddie Glaude Jr. is a native son of Mississippi. He is an unapologetic a proponent of blackness in America. Tim is clumsy in this interview but we're glad the Bulwark chooses to have these types of guests. Good on you Bulwark!
