This is not only the first MCU, but also the first ever MARVEL film in history to get an acting nomination for Angela Bassett, which I feel she should’ve won for, cause she was outstanding in this. “I AM QUEEN OF THE MOST POWERFUL NATION IN THE WORLD AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY IS GONE! HAVE I NOT GIVEN EVERYTHING?!” That line alone, will always give me goosebumps.
2:31 Not One Dry Eye In The Theatre When I Saw It. Everybody Was CRYING
RIP Chadwick Boseman. You were the best Black Panther. WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!
The idea to bring Killmonger back, and he is who Shuri saw after taking the herb because of her hatred and lust for vengeance, was genius.
"Nobody really truly won this one" Thats Ryan Coogler for you... that's reality for u. War never really has a victor...
Fun Fact: Namor is one of Marvel's very first characters. He was the first Mutant and the first Anti-hero.
The custom designer who did the first movie won the Oscar again for best costume design for this movie also got nominated for make up and hairstyling
My mother died from similarly to Chadwick Boseman from complications from cancer a few years ago, and like Chadwick she kept the fact that she knew she was dying from us until a couple days before she died. So it was very hard to watch this movie, not just because of my mother, but because Chadwick Boseman and the character of T’Challa are my heroes. But it was still a beautiful and cathartic movie to watch. And coming out of the theater I met a family of 10 black people who like me were wearing all white out of respect for Chadwick and T’Challa, we talked about how much we loved the movie and afterwards they let me take a picture of them with their phone in front of the Wakanda Forever poster. One of the most beautiful and cathartic nights of my life. As for the story itself, I loved it. People think that Namor is the villain but he’s not. The real villain is white, European imperialism. Throughout history European empires plundered other nations for either resources or for slaves. Even though it’s 2025 it’s absolutely believable that either Russia, China or the U.S. would look for any excuse to dismantle non hostile nations just to rob them of their resources. The Contessa herself is a perfect example, she’s practically salivating at the idea of America owning all the vibranium in Wakanda. Everything Namor did was because he wanted to prevent what has happened throughout human history to happen to Talocan. And I still cry my eyes out at the end with T’Challa’s son telling Shuri his real name. Rest In Power Chadwick.
the reason she saw her cousin is cuz her heart wasnt pure and in the right place to see the others...she wanted to become the panther for revenge not to protect the people and carry on tradition
Lypita Ny'ongo was born in and spent her early years in Mexico. She's fluent in Spanish.
