Tom Holland said that whenever he'd have a scene with Keaton, he would always whisper "I'm Batman" 😂😂
Man, I remember when Keaton was revealed as Liz's dad... immediately was scared and the entire theater gasped.
This movie was very different from the previous live-action Spider-Man movies that came before. Instead of going through the same origin story stuff, like the radioactive spider bite, Uncle Ben death, and everything. They pretty much skip through all that, and have this movie take place after Captain America: Civil War. At least this has some great action scenes and some funny moments. Even though this is like the second time Spider-Man has been rebooted, it’s still an MCU classic.
The voice of Karen is Jennifer Connelly, wife of Paul Bettany, who voiced Jarvis.
While there have been many high points in the MCU, one of the only times I have heard an audience audibly gasp (myself included) was 41:28 when Keaton answers the door. The following scene and the flat and direct way that Keaton threatens Peter in the car do so well to reinforce that this is just a kid. He may have super powers, but he's a kid. That scene, and then when he's pinned in the rubble, panicking and crying for help. His rally to build himself up to get out is amazing!
*light turns green* "good ole' spiderman--" The reveal of her dad, and the entire car-ride to homecoming is probably one of my most FAVORITE "TENSION" scenes in ANY movie EVER. Right up there in tension with the intro to Inglorious Basterds, the JAWS build-up, and the T-Rex intro in Jurassic Park.
"If you are nothing without the suit, then you shouldn't have the suit". I take it as a reference from Iron Man 3 where Tony did almost all the work without the suit.
I really like when he's in interrogation mode and Aaron Davis says "I heard you under the bridge, I know what a girl sounds like." On of my favorite lines.
Aaron Davis, the "you need to get better on this part of the job" guy played by Donald Glover, is the Prowler, Miles Morales' uncle in Into The Spiderverse. When he mentions he didn't want these weapons around because of his nephew that's the first mention of Miles Morales in the MCU but hadn't been followed up yet.
Casting directors don't get enough credit. I can't possibly imagine this movie without these actors.
