My boy PO said it best: “I’m not a big fat panda. I’m *THEE* Big Fat Panda.“ Big dawg, not the lil one! 🐼😈
There’s an old quote that says “a person will often meet their destiny on the road they took to avoid it”. Master Shifu was so afraid of Tai Lung escaping yet he inadvertently set the stage for his escape by sending the bird that dropped the feather that allowed him to. This movie is legit full of life lessons 10/10. Im surprise that you 2 didnt recognize the actor that voiced Commander Vachir (the prison guard commander) is the late Michael Clarke Duncan
Kung Fu Panda was such a fun movie!
So many great details in this movie. My favorite is when Po sees only his reflection in the Dragon Scroll, he says, "It's blank!" because he is humble. Tai Lung says, "It's nothing!" while looking at his own reflection, because his ego is in the way.
Michael's "Awww, buddy..." is the most sympathetic expression on CinePals XD
Tai Lung's intro is the best, what a way to introduce a villain👏🏽
Tai Lung is a Snow Leopard❤❤❤
For most of the movie, Shifu calls Po "Panda", much like how he refers to the Furious Five members by their species. He doesn't call him by his real name until the scene where Po is finally given the Dragon Scroll, as well as when Po goes to see him after defeating Tai Lung Pressure points are more difficult to locate on obese people, as shown when Mantis has trouble performing acupuncture on Po. In the end, this served to protect Po from Tai Lung's pressure point attacks Dustin Hoffman's contract included a stipulation which allowed him to do additional voice recording sessions without hindrance, should he be unsatisfied with his performance. Beyond the contract, Hoffman also tutored Jack Black on his performance in the nighttime stairway argument scene.
I love the reason that Po was able to fight Ty Lung wasn't so much that he was a better fighter, but because his fighting style was something that Ty Lung had never seen before. Ty Lung had learned every move, mastered the 1000 scrolls. He knew every move, countermove and the counters to those. He was a perfect fighter. But Po's style was, mostly, unique to him. It was something Ty Lung had never learned to fight, so his reflexes were all wrong for him, when Po fought unconventionally. There is a saying, "The greatest swordsman doesn't fear the second greatest. He fears the worst." The worst thing to fight is an opponent you cannot predict. So Po's lack of skill was bolstered by his chaotic way of fighting.
Fun fact! Jackie Chan did all his own stunts in this movie as well
