You know the phrase "They don't make 'em like they used to," nothing epitomizes that more than this movie.

This is still the best Ninja Turtles movie ever. I met Judith Hoag at comic con. Robin Williams was a fan of Ninja Turtles comics. He acted with her on Cadillac Man. He helped Judith prepare her for the role of April.

This movie owned my childhood.

"Who the heck is that? Wayne Gretzky...on steroids?" will forever be one my favorite lines in this movie!

At 46 I can still remember the excitement when my pops took my brother and I to watch this in the theater and will never lose that feeling even when I re-watch it. And at school, THIS is all everyone talked about at recess and even in class after it released "did ya see it, did ya see it" 🤣😂🤣 It's a damn shame they toned down Secret of the Ooze because of parents complaints for the violence in this, which was very tame.

a fun story from my childhood. In 1990 Burger King was giving out 1 of 4 or 5 vhs tapes featuring episodes of the TMNT cartoon with kids meals. My mother left a note for my brother and I stating she hid 4 of the tapes in our room and as we cleaned it we would find them. Being a generation raised on Nickelodeon and Double Dare/ Finders Keepers we simply flipped the bedroom looking for the tapes and then watched them in said torn apart room. On the final tape's conclusion we decided to start cleaning up and left the credits running. Well after the credits finished a trailer began. Confused we both turned to the TV to see dark imagery of NYC with a voice over.....and then that first Image of a Turtle. Pandemonium does NOT describe what occurred in that room. A recreation of the Joe Rogan and DC shocked commentary table gif transpired with my brother and I grabbing each other and screaming in one another's faces. We watched it, caught our breath and watched it again. Then i got on the phone like Chuck Berry's cousin at a Hilly Valley dance, calling my best friend and holding the phone to the tv like "YO! DWAYNE!!! Youve gotta hear this!" Him: Is that a cartoon??? Me: No! NOOOOOO! Its REAL PEOPLE!!!! Its actual TURTLES and SHREDDER! Not a cartoon but REAL LIVE PEOPLE!!!! Him: NO WAY! Me: WAY! Dude WAAAAY!!!!! THIS IS HAPPENING! THIS....IS....HAPPENING!!!! I gotta call you back! I need to call George!!!! My Grandmother let us skip school and took us the the earliest showing on opening day. The theater was packed! this was like 10am! In related news for my 13th birthday my mother rented out an arcade and a movie theater for my friends and I to play unlimited video games then watch TMNT 3....on a school day (my friends needed permission slips to skip school to do this) This is a core happy memory from my childhood and I'm actually now in a better mood than when I began typing this

two films were watched repeatedly as a young kid... 1989 Batman and 1990 TMNT. I can quote this film from start to finish. love it.

Every time I watch this, I’m 9 years old again. I’m glad my kids also like it.

As a kid, the Foot hangout looked like heaven.
