Being sponsored by an AI Tutor in this episode is wild.
At least, when the bubble collapses, I'll be able to buy a new SSD and add some RAM to the laptop
If not corruption, why corruption shaped?
Sam Altman being like "oh noooooo. Guess I was wrong after all these years and the trillion dollar investment I got. Oopsies. Thanks for the money anyway!"
“Welcome to Cold Fusion, where we discuss how AI is destroying the planet. Big thanks to our sponsor, AI.”
There's a joke about GDP as a metric. Two economists are on a hike in the countryside, when they come across a meadow full of cows. One of them points at a dried out cow patty on the ground, and issues the other a challenge: "If you take a bite out of that cow patty, I'll give you a $100." The other economist considers the offer for a sec, concludes that he needs the money, and then bends over and takes a quick bite out of it. The one issuing the challenge is shocked, clearly not having expected to be taking up on his offer. "I don't actually have the money" he says. The other economist is understandably peeved, but is quick to come up with a solution: "Tell you what, if you eat the rest of it, we'll call it even." With a grimace the economist bends over and does just that. After they're done gagging, they both reflect on what they just did. "I can't believe we both just ate shit for nothing". The other is quick to retort. "Well, if its any consolation, we did just increase the GDP by $200".
15:10 AI-skeptic video advertising an "AI-powered" learning platform. This is just beyond me
5:40 "artificial" and "clever accounting tricks.." I'm pretty sure we used to call that "fraud."
Dodgy? I prefer the classic term Fraud
I love my employees, but I love my customers more. I love my customers, but I love my investors more. I love my investors, but I love my valuations more 😂
