Imagine spending this much money and not even outperforming VRChat.
LOL, renaming to "Meta" turned out to be like getting a tattoo while drunk
You have to admit that Meta did a really good job at capturing Suckerberg's dead-eyed, robotic stare for his avatar.
A loss for zuck is a win for humanity
The metaverse is so irrelevant I forgot we even passed through that phase recently.
The appeal of a VR metaverse is to have a universe where you can play as anyone and anything. Did they really think people would care to play as low poly version of themselves in a edgeless corporate safe environment ? Yeah we call that getting a job.
I still remember that group who had a plan to go into the Metaverse to prank users. But after one guy went in to scope it out, he realized there weren't enough users for a prank to be worth the cost of the VR equipment.
The lifeless design just *oozes* corporate dystopian vibes. Like who fuck needs this depressing shit when they're already being dehumanized at work?
Most of those 900 ”users” are just granmas and granpas who don’t know how to log out.
bro second life (yeah.. that game ) even till NOW has more online players in midnight per day, than the total users of meta VR combined.
