A Better Alternative to Mammograms | Dr. Cara Fuhrman Discusses QTScan

I work in surgery with breast surgeons, and have noticed a huge uptick in breast cancer surgeries in younger patients. My first thought was what is causing younger women to have breast cancer in the recent 5-10 years….well they changed the age of routine mammograms to younger age. I see so much unnecessary surgery, I do not get mammograms myself after doing a ton of research about all the false positives. By the way these surgeons are making a killing on these diagnostics, and false positives

The resolution on the QT is at the histological level. It saved me from a biopsy. Highly recommend.

Women should also know that multiple shots taken in one visit represent much more radiation. Every shot taken is equivalent at aprox one week environmental radiation. The protocol is vicious and not regarding for women's health. I refuse to do mammograms anymore. The protocols use are abusive and a torture to women. In the process of so much compression they could generate other issues . Time for better options for women..! It will be interesting to see statistics on breast cancer on women who do routine mammograms and those who wont do mammograms. Nobody is talking about that , why?

Quantitative Transmission (QT) ultrasound is a finer resolution version of ultrasound that allows better differentiation between tumors and dense tissue in the breast.

Most of the times the mammogram is ineffective when the woman has dense breasts…I don’t know why medical doctors insist on doing mammograms over an over in women with dense breasts. The protocol require women to do an ultrasound plus a mammograms…Why not to do an MRI instead? The test is uncomfortable enough but they usually like to take many shots in one visit to then say the breasts dense …No point on doing doubled test for nothing …

I have been over-treated as a result of mammogram THREE times!

That equipment should sell worldwide and be in every diagnostic clinic. That is so impressive.

Mammograms are NOT uncomfortable they are straight up painful!

Such great news! This could finally replace mammograms! We should not get mammograms because if the radiation! QT sounds like a better alternative!

The cost is all relative…. $700 is half my house payment… I am a single 64 yr old cancer survivor….
