I have spent so much time feeling guilty or confused when “healthy” foods make me feel worse, but hearing that digestion is about the entire system, not just the food itself, helps me feel less broken and less ashamed of what my body struggles to tolerate sometimes. What hits me hardest is realizing that my body may not need more force, restriction, or self-judgment; it may need more support, gentleness, nervous system calm, and a way of eating that actually matches the reality of what my digestive system can handle right now instead of what I think I “should” be able to eat. You have given me a lot to ponder about the next steps of my journey.
