Stick to naturally aspirated, non-CVT vehicles and that alone should keep repair bills down a bit
It took me two hours to talk my girlfriend out of buying a used BMW with a broken speedometer cable. She also wanted to buy an ugly orange Porsche 911 that had a hideous paint job. She became depressed when the Porsche finally was sold by the dealer down the street. A couple weeks later, we saw the orange Porsche being towed and we both started laughing.
My vacuum cleaner stopped working, so I put a Jeep logo on it. Now it sucks again.
Buy a toyota with a non turbo 2.5 L.
Laugh each time I see one of those Ford Harley models.. these people pay thousands more for a bunch of logos on a truck that’s already overpriced. 🤡
If you want a Wrangler, go 97’ through 2006. They aren’t perfect but that’s the best Wrangler.
Seems like a common theme is lack of maintenence.....that'll give you problems on ANY car.
I drive a 35 year old & 24 year old Toyotas. I maintain them exceptionally well and have no plans on buying a new vehicle of any make!
the amount of plastic parts that are making it into engine compartments these days is insane...there's saving weight/money, and then there's "something else"...(once took a vacation with someone in a mid-70s Volvo where one of the main gears in the engine broke because it was made of a reinforced fiber material instead of metal- a "main" gear for the function of the engine...unbelievable...)...
This man speaks the truth. When I asked an experienced mechanic, he named the same brands as problematic, and unpleasant to work on.
