"Great minds think aloud" All the hero messages are direct shots at Western labs. I like that they also reveal the tool call contents in the thinking block. It is so frustrating when you can't tell if Gemini is using Google or just making it up.
Anything new gets the headline "may change everything". I crave reports about new AI things that "will change absolutely fucking nothing".
9:03 Keep in mind, a bland yet well-structured aesthetic bias is ideal for a model intended for retraining.
I'm assuming the Chinese AI companies could easily copy the capability of Tinker? Some may already have that ability and are trying to monetize it like Thinking Machines? What do others think about this business model and if Thinking Machines can stave off Chinese competition, considering their open-weight models are much stronger.
I wonder if they change a premium serving the model? Since it's open weights, I guess we'll find out soon If they serve it at full precision, the price is justified
I'm hoping they release the interaction model they showed a couple months ago. That's going to be really good for making local voice agentic capability. Well, at least as long as the model is a reasonable size that can run on consumer grade GPU's.
What about Gemma 4 ? That is multi modal open weights
it is truly opensource. but still lack of the engineering of deepseek if im honest
I love the reaction to the pricing. 😂 what a polite way to express: ‘Damn! Expensive!’ 😂😂🎉
Why use whryte when handy exists and uses parakeet v3?
