L-Citrulline, YOU"RE WELCOME!!
He identified and mentioned L-Citrulline (the product) within 30sec of the video. Kudos for not burying the info deep into the vid 🎉
Just because you gave the name of the nutrient you were talking about so early on, I decided that your honesty deserves reward. I am listening right to the end. Thank you.
L Citrullibe 3 to 6 grams L Glutamine Zinc Carnosine Collagen/Gelatin
Melons and cucumbers are high in l-citrulline
Felix explores how L-citrulline, a common fitness supplement typically used for muscle pumps, can effectively treat leaky gut by improving blood flow (0:30-3:30). Contrary to the belief that gut healing takes months of protocols, the video highlights a study showing significant effects from just one single 10-gram dose (0:15). Key takeaways from the study: • Mechanism of Action: Citrulline increases arginine levels, which boosts nitric oxide, relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow to the intestines (2:30-3:30). • Damage Prevention: During intense stress or exercise, blood is often diverted away from the gut. Citrulline prevents this drop in blood flow, thereby preventing damage to the gut lining before it happens (3:52-4:40). • Reduced Markers of Injury: A marker for gut cell injury (IFABP) spiked in the placebo group during exercise but was dramatically lower in the group taking citrulline (4:42-5:18). Application and Recommendations: • Who can benefit: Those experiencing gut issues related to intense exercise, heat, stress, or chronic sympathetic nervous system activation (6:40-7:20). • Dosage: While the study used 10g, 3 to 6 grams is suggested for everyday use (7:50-8:00). • Stacking: Citrulline can be paired with Glutamine (as fuel for cells), Zinc Carnosine (for lining repair), or Collagen/Gelatin (as raw material) for enhanced results (8:30-9:41).

Rich natural L-citruline source: watermelon, higher concentrations in the rind. Grandma's pickled watermelon rinds come to mind. Also in other melons, cucumbers, & pumpkin. Obviously, supplements would have more isolated L-citruline but whole food sources would have the rest of the partnered nutrients needed to make best use of it. 😊
The claim that L-citrulline "heals leaky gut after just one dose" is a significant exaggeration of the actual research. The study cited focused on healthy individuals undergoing intense physical stress; it demonstrated that L-citrulline can help maintain blood flow to the gut, thereby preventing the temporary cellular damage that exercise causes. Scientifically, this is an "upstream" preventative measure. It does not address the underlying causes of chronic intestinal permeability, such as microbiome dysbiosis or long-term inflammation. Furthermore, the study's own results showed that L-citrulline did not significantly change the direct markers of gut permeability compared to the control group. While the supplement is a useful tool for maintaining microcirculation, characterizing it as a one-dose cure for a complex digestive condition lacks scientific merit.
I've never heard of this dude before today. He mentions the "fix" in the first 30 seconds and that's excellent for those short on time. I had some time this morning, so I watched the entire video and he's an excellent presenter. The language used is relatively simple and he explains how it works step-by-step which helped me identify some symptoms. His product pitch is right at the end and is only about 10 seconds long (which is awesome). This is what videos used to be -- real information, no fluff, no demands to "buy only from me!" I have no idea who he is, but I just subbed. Nicely done, Felix!
