Film Theory: They Will NEVER Leave You Alone (Glendale Archive)

Hey Film Theory. I have a request for Game Theory that maybe you could pass on. I recommend checking out the game Animal Jam. It has a surprising amount of lore for the type of kid's game it is, and I really like it. Would love an episode or two diving into its history and story.

The Glendale Archives reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode "Where is Everybody" where the twist was, it was a solitary experiment

I think this guy is clearly some kinda metaphor for being afraid of people. Maybe the nester's are genuinely just people, and the explanations for them trying to reach them could be either: Family members trying to reach them, or the authorities sending people due to the face he BURNT A NESTER ALIVE EARLY ON?

I kinda hope this pulls a Silent Hill, and once he accepts and deals with his issues is when he's finally allowed to return to the real world

i feel like the him not having a phone thing is going to be important to explaining why he is the only person still around

I am just gonna assume that "This Guy" name is Glendale since it is called the Glendale archvie which might mean his archives

I think it's really interesting that they’re called ‘nesters’, like how parents are referred to as ‘empty nesters’ after their children move out. especially since it ties into the whole theme of family and isolation

Oh man wait until he sees the newest videos. The part where he talks about "feeling" when your about to be attacked, he describes it almost like, the feeling when you know your about to be told off or scolded. Interesting stuff.
