Although Plankton may have been portrayed as the villain, the REAL villain has been right in front of us all along. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ *Credits:* Writers: Forrest Lee, Eddie Robinson Editors: Tyler Mascola, Alex "Sedge" Sedgwick, Warak Sound Designer: Yosi Berman, Alena Lecorchick Thumbnail: DasGnomo ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Need Royalty Free Music for your Content? Going back to the origins. Proving that iconic characters are actually evil

One thing you forgot to mention: In the episode Fools In April, Squidward pulls an April Fools Day prank on SpongeBob that’s so humiliating to the poor guy that he basically gets cancelled for it. Later when he apologizes to SpongeBob, it’s revealed that it was all just a massive prank planned by the entire town.

SpongeBob is canonically intelligent but socially awkward. He can do mental math super fast and is naturally gifted as a sculptor. I do think his clumsiness and naivity are real, though, not faked.

Love the fact that this was uploaded only an hour or so after I finished binging Alex Bale’s Spongebob conspiracy theory compilation for the second time!

An interesting concept. I think, however, that both Squidward and Brain coral Patrick are not warnings against intelligence, but rather, Pride. There's a big difference between knowing that tomato is a fruit and thinking less of someone who doesn't realize that fact. Look at Sandy Cheeks, for instance. She's the science nerd of the Bikini bottom, and she shows no sign of depression or sadness apart from homesickness. Plankton has been shown to both have high intelligence and sadness, but usually that depression is caused not by his intellect, but rather the mundane repetitive nature of his life, something he's been shown to recover from by taking a break, like when he swapped roles with Mr. Krabs. I believe the theory that Spongebob being smart is valid. I hold nothing against the evidence you provided, and can think of a few examples myself that demonstrate his intelligence. However, like Sandy, Intelligence doesn't grant him happiness. Everything in this world is fleeting, including knowledge. Spongebob is an example of how seeking relationship with the people around you can fill you with joy, much more than any search for money, like Mr. Krabs; Fame, like Squilliam and Squidward (successful or not); or even Fun, like Patrick, could provide you with. But that's just my take on the matter. my "mini theory' if you will.

I think my all time favorite example of SpongeBob being aware of his annoyance and purposefully doing so towards Squidward is in the Houseparty episode where Squid comes over after SB literally cuts his power, tucking the pliers he used into his back pocket

I've always said that squidward doesn't deserve half the bad stuff that happens to him. He absolutely DOES deserve the other half xD

1:10 I love how Sandy’s defining feature is being Texan before being a scientist.

I'd say we need a reverse theory too because Sandy is not as smart as we're led to believe. Girl watched SpongeBob suffocate in front of her and didn't put it together that "Sea creatures breathe water and not air." Not to mention she explains Santa Claus to SpongeBob in the first Christmas episode and what happens? Santa doesn't show up, because Ms "I wanna go hoo-ooo-ooohme!" didn't mention that you need to be ASLEEP for Santa to show up. Fraud genius.
