Description

George Beebe is the former CIA Director for Russia Analysis and currently Director of Grand Strategy at the Quincy Institute. Beebe examines the possibility for a diplomatic settlement to the Ukraine War. Russia's demands are high and there is little room for concessions as NATO in Ukraine represents an existential threat, and Russia is wining. Russia's for restoring Ukraine's neutrality, territorial concessions and limiting the military capabilities of a post-war Ukraine can all be met. The European leaders are determined to prolong the war, yet they can also be brought on board. Hey George, buddy, maybe you should start listening to what the Russians are saying. They have always said that they will never allow European or NATO troops inside Ukraine. This is part of the problem is that people are not listening to what the Russians have been saying all along.

So the thing that really gets me here as it sounds a lot more like damage control on part of Beebe than an actual intelligent response because the Russians are never going to accept that.

Never trust the US, and never believe a person that present himself as ”former CIA”…

15:32: It has been established that Putin never said in Anchorage that “Russia is comfortable ending the war at the line of contact in two of the regions Russia has annexed.” The claims of these so-called concessions were spread by Western media and were categorically denied by the Kremlin.

Thank you Glenn for your hard work and objectivity.🙏Sadly though, I don’t have much optimism for a peace deal. What I heard was illustrative of the perpetual obstacle for Russia when they try to negotiate with the West, they just never listen. Meanwhile, the MIC and the individuals who profit from war get richer, while good men and civilians lose their lives. Praying for peace everyday.🙏🕊🙏

Mr. Beebe mentioned that Russia wants Ukraine neutral and demilitarized and that Ukraine was willing to abide by these requirements before the west intervened. Now, after 4 years the Russian demands have not changed, and eventually the west will concede. The question is then WHY were there the enormous losses (primarily on Ukrainian side) and who would be responsible for them?

Come on the US pushed for war in Ukraine (as now in Iran,). In order to have peace let the US close their bases everywhere and start managing their own problems
