As an American growing up in Oklahoma in the 70's I find it incredible the multiple varying viewpoints on US history. For every great victory there is also devastation and defeat for both sides. Nobody really wins.

Could all the history nerds please calm TF down about the petty inaccuracies? It's the history channel not Netflix for God's sake. It's just meant to be a visual guideline to the story. These are low level actors working on a tiny budget, I'm sure. To most of world, who don't geek out on this stuff, it's a great introduction to what was going on in America at that time and the events the lead to this famous battle. The most important takeaway from all of this is that once upon a time, our nation condoned violent military engagement of indigenous people simply for the pursuit of gold and westward expansion.

Wow. The History Channel couldn't even get the clothes Custer and his troopers wore anywhere close to accurate. And not only is that wig the Custer actor wearing not fooling anybody, it's also unnecessary because Custer had his hair cut short before his last battle.
2nd best History channel after American Battlefield Trust.
Bloody Knife was made fun of by Lakotas as child when he was captured, and always held a grudge. This anger would eventually burn him at this battle.
the Greasy Grass, the name was not always the greasy grass, it used to be called the place where the grass grows tall, but the blood of the 7th calvary made the grass greasy.
17:15 such a humiliating death when people remeber you like this.
