I want to go back to this era of history channel! Back when you actually learned something before the network got ruined with the nonsense of reality tv.

I Remeber waiting for new modern marvels with my dad when I was a kid. He drives a semi for a living and I remember being fascinated by them so he recorded the semi episode on vhs for me. I wore that tape out.

What year is this from? The focus to connect the viewer to content is soothing and good, by the narrator . Reminds me of the 1990s-2005 history production

I had the pleasure of working with Melanie's father Mike back in the day ! He was an awesome guy who absolutely loved drag racing. His daughter was just a child and I know he would be so proud of his daughter to see her now. Greg and Mike Peek were also huge as we're the Kaiser brothers. I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by these great racing legends. It was a time in my life that I look back on with great admiration for these racing giants. Modern Marvel's helped me relive those days . Thanks Mike Troxell Greg and Mike Peek and all of the Kaiser brothers .

The term " Thunder boat " was from the era of the piston engine boats . They have carried it to the turbine engine boats though..

Modern Marvels and prior to that a little known British show call "The Secret Life of Machines" had me glued to the TV back in the 80s and 90s. They were so well written and produced that you actually felt a little smarter after watching each episode. Sadly, History and Discovery Channel are unrecognizable now compared to their original programming.
