In what world does a 2 loss Miami vault ahead of BYU whose only loss is on the road to #5? I an NOT a BYU fan but BYU is getting shafted in this more than any team in the field.
We actually had a “predetermined criteria” method, it was called BCS and people complained about that system even choosing two teams. Everyone wanted the “computers that didn’t know anything” replaced with an “eye test”. Now the eye test is an issue.
The rankings are based matchups that's going to bring the most money, TV viewing, ticket sales, revenue

When the left an undefeated FSU team out of the playoffs a few years ago they opened pandoras box when the statement was made that it is not about picking the most deserving teams but picking the best teams. That injected a huge level of subjectivity into it.
I respect the hell out of BYU those boys Are no joke at all I'm a Seminole 🍢 but the disrespect to BYU is sickening
The elephant in this room is too big to even hear anything you say: BYU cannot be left out of the playoff with an 11-1 record against the MOST bowl eligible P4 teams. Their ONLY loss is to the #5 team On The Road!!
The "eye ball" test is basically individual bias by another name.
My blood pressure just spiked. Again dismissed the Big 12. Did you notice, Josh, that the Big 12 and B1G have the same number of ranked teams? Are you listening to yourself dismiss the eyeball test and then dismiss the Big 12 and its 5 ranked teams?
